Taunton Friends of the Earth has been involved in transport consultations and presented the Green transport options where possible. We maintain close links with Cycle Somerset the local cycle campaign group (www.cyclesomerset.co.uk). Recent council initiatives are of great concern to us as the trend seems to be moving away from more sustainable initiatives such as public transport, cycling and walking, towards more road building and car oriented initiatives.
